What is a Scheduled Resource Team? The Scheduled Resource Team is a nursing pool developed by CHI & Avantas Health for flexible CNA’s wanting to provide high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments.

How will my rate of pay be determined? Your base rate of pay, merit increases, shift differentials and holiday pay are given in an identical manner as for all core staff. Because the Scheduled Resource Team is designed to value flexibility, anyone committed to a .6 or higher will earn premium differential pay in addition to normal differential pay.

Premium Differential Pay:

Day Shift, 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., earn an extra 10%

Night Shift, 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., earn an extra 15%

Scheduled Resource Team is for you, if you wish to:

  • Maximize your income by earning premium differential pay.

Scheduled Resource Team is not for you, if you:

  • Wish the stability of working on a single unit.

Job Summary / Essential Duties:

  • Responds to patient calls, anticipates patient needs, and assures patient safety and comfort through regular rounds, environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.

  • Records vital signs and intake and output when requested into the patient record and/or computer. Reports any changes observed in the condition or behavior of patients and any unusual incidents/problems.

  • Performs nursing procedures which do not require the skill/knowledge or judgement of a licensed professional and which may be safely delegated in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.

  • Prepares and assists patients with meals. Feeds patients as directed. Distributes nourishments and drinking water.

  • Assures patient privacy while providing personal and routine care.

  • Establishes and maintains professional interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while assuring confidentiality of patient information.

  • Offers to assist co-workers and all team members to complete work assignments.

  • Participates in patient care conferences and contributes to planning patient care.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nurse Assistants must be on the Nurse Aide Registry of the State in which they work.

Basic Life Support: BLS or BLS instructor certification

Experience :

Preferred: Six months experience in an acute care hospital or skilled care facility in the acute care area.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Ability to organize and prioritize work. Job requires individual and group interaction. Job requires continuous verbal communication skills, frequent reading skills, written communication skills, and computer skills.

LIFESPAN COMPETENCIES:

The Care giver must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs as described in the department policies, procedures, or performance appraisal standards.
