General Purpose and Scope of Position The Business Manager will be involved in the development and communication of the regional inventory management strategy and provide the most current costs, recommendations, supply, and program benefit information for the area. The Business Manager will work closely with the Territory Sales Managers and Area Purchasing Lead. Key Skills and Abilities Include: Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture or Business related field preferred Minimum of five years' experience in the agriculture business with demonstrated track record in sales and marketing or product management Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, forecasting, etc. Proficient in all Microsoft office applications Key Personal Attributes: Good interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with branch personnel, peers and customers Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups with an ability to lead and influence Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Willingness to travel Ability to travel up to 20% Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Programing/Supplier Relations Provide the most current costs, recommendations, supply, and program benefit information for PPP to the Area Assist in the rebate redemption process and continuously strive to improve the understanding, accuracy and execution of the rebate process Assist the Territory Sales Managers and Area Purchasing Lead, as necessary with supplier relations contact to PPP Manufacturing and Vendor companies Monitor supplier program targets; work with Territory Sales Managers to insure we reach goals Work with Area purchasing manager regarding National and local rebate reconciliation Provide net cost information to those designated and approved by Regional Manager Organize supplier meetings with Territory Sales Managers to document, implement and execute the local supplier programs Monitor supplier Inventories and industry dynamics that threaten product security Communicate Regional aspects of PPP segment to Area Purchasing Manager for use at National level Communicate directly with Territory Managers regarding forecasting, purchasing and inventory levels on PPP Inventory Management Development and communication of regional inventory management strategy to all levels of management Through cooperation with Territory Managers provide adequate inventories of PPP's and efficient use of working capital. Inventory Management – Current and Aged Forecasting Coordinate forecasts and monitor product levels on daily and weekly basis Coordinate and execute a demand plan for Key Accounts within the Area Adopt and Implement an efficient demand planning tool, interfacing with Territory Sales Managers, Branch Leads, and field staff.
