Position Overview This position will provide warehouse expertise to all company operations with a focus in warehousing, inventory management and logistics. Inventory, shipping and logistics procedural development, implementation of inventory management system to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and U.S. government sponsored client policies and procedures, enhance performance of teams, and minimize exposure to potential liabilities in alignment with the values of Apogee. Critical Success Areas and Areas of Major Responsibility: Client Expectations: Accurately and effectively manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) in accordance with government approved inventory management system and conformance with laws, regulations and U.S. government sponsored client policies and procedures. Expertly provide packaging, shipping, material handling and reporting of GFE and CAP. Display a consistent effort to listen, comprehend and act in response to the needs of Government client to provide excellent service and client satisfaction. Outstanding Operational Performance: Provide continuous improvement solutions to Apogee processes and systems. Perform specific duties provided on behalf of the client using commercial best practices, contracting requirements and in accordance with all laws and regulations. Consistent communication with U.S. Government client providing status, information requested and required reporting. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in a logistical/warehouse environment desired with recent in the past year preferred Previous supervisory experience preferred Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of government property strongly desired Experience in implementing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 48 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 52.245-1 Government Property programs. Experience in the identification, receipt, handling and storage of hazardous material categories Class 3 (gas), Class 7 (radioactive material such as sealed calibration sources in accepted or limited quantities), and Class 9 (consumables, specifically Lithium-Ion batteries) in compliance with OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and DOT (49 CFR 172.704) Hazardous Material training regulations Hazardous Materials certification preferred Required Knowledge and Skills: Activities will include, but are not limited to: Supervise the daily operation and administration of the warehouse facility Generate work assignments, manages schedules, sets priorities, assigns daily tasks, and reviews employee performance Coordinate and prioritize activities of warehouse employees engaged in receiving, cataloging, tagging, maintaining, storing, packing, and shipping inventory Assign appropriate resources, determine objectives and procedures, and monitor results to ensure inventory is accurate, secure and maintained Ensure materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures and Government guidelines/regulations and meet contract requirements Manage procedures and controls for hazardous material receipt and shipments Ensure safety of workforce by educating employees on proper procedures and safety guidelines, strives to achieve an accident
