Lockheed Martin Designer in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Description: Come be a part of the development of the new Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon (HCSW). This new air-launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system. Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as PTC Creo, Solidworks, NX, or AutoCAD. Gathers information, makes studies, makes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts/sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications are met. Primary tasks will be in support of ICBM & Strategic Systems. Candidate will perform design updates to heritage Air Force reentry system components as well as design future AF missile systems.

Candidate should have knowledge of CAD tools, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment.

Desired Skills: 'Knowledge of change management systems

Experience using PTC Creo Parametric

Knowledge of hardware manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment, assembly, etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

2D CAD and 3D Modeling experience

Hands-on hardware experience

Excellent written and verbal communications skills,

Ability to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment.
