Sutter Health Biomedical Equipment Technician II in Lafayette, California

Description

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan and Sutter eQuip Program. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of a limited scope of biomedical equipment under the guidance and direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Technician.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology OR equivalent education/experience required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Experience servicing medical equipment as typically obtained in two to four years required, preferably in a hospital environment.

• Experience in performing electrical safety testing on biomedical instrumentation.

• Knowledge of electrical safety theory.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent listening skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
