Cedars-Sinai Clinical Care Associate - Neurosurgery Clinic in Los Angeles, California
The department of Neurosurgery offers medical surgical and neuro-oncologic care for primary and metastatic tumors of the brain. The programs encompass brain tumors, neurovascular diseases, functional disorders, pain, trauma and other complex conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention. Many of the procedures can be done using minimally invasive techniques.
The Neurosurgery Clinic has a position available for a Clinical Care Associate aka Medical Assistant.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Function under the general supervision of the associate director and a licensed caregiver, the Clinical Care Associate (CCA) provides clinical and administrative support to nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals working in the licensed clinics. Functions include patient interview, data collection, documentation in the electronic medical record, exam room setup, cleaning and preparation, ordering/stocking of medical supplies, general administrative support, and other duties as assigned. The CCA may also perform non-invasive routine technical services under the supervision of a licensed physician or surgeon on the premises. The Clinical Care Associate functions within his/ her scope of education/ certification not to exceed what is permitted by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center policies, procedures and guidelines. Will be cross trained to support all departments within the Neurosciences Clinic.
High school diploma or GED, graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
Basic Life Support (CPR) approved by the American Heart Association.
Two years of previous medical office or clinical experience required.

Carrying, hearing/listening, lifting (up to 25lbs), Manual Dexterity, pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Squatting, Kneeling, Standing and Walking.
