Description

OfficeTeam is seeking an individual with remarkable administration and organization skills to fill the role of a Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will be in charge of a wide variety of responsibilities, including owning a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is based in the Lyndhurst, New Jersey area and is a full-time opportunity.

Your responsibilities

  • Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities

  • Participate in planning new employee orientation meetings

  • Preside over employee database records

  • Use the internet to search for potential customers

Requirements

  • Approachable and appropriate interacting with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment

  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

  • Past experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Knowledge in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Safety Training experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in Employee Training

  • HR compliance experience preferred

  • Strong familiarity with recruiting

  • Employee relations experience desired
