Shipper / Receiver (Job Number: 194529W-01)
NATURE OF WORK
To package and ship final products and to receive materials used in the production process.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure adherence to all quality systems including, but not limited to, ISO 9001 and Food Safety, with an understanding of DuPont’s Quality Policy and procedures.
Comply with all Company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP's, HAACP, and Attendance.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
Load and unload trucks. Move raw materials and products throughout the plant, move and rotate cultures in freezer; deliver supplies to appropriate areas; stack barrels; load pallets; decipher MSDS sheets and affix HMIS labels with proper coding.
Conduct all relevant security functions as mandated by the FDA. This includes checking and logging CDL’s, manifests or bills of lading, security seals, and truck inspections. It also includes checking incoming shipments for signs of tampering or adulteration.
Package products and material to be shipped. Pick orders according to order specifications; load boxes with dry ice; stuff barrels with foam; and prepare boxes and drums.
Maintain accurate written and computer records or logs for all shipping and receiving processes and procedures. Record batch numbers, enter orders into SAP, prepare bills of lading, and produce SAP reports.
Monitor the shipping and receiving process. Check orders for wrong information, advise appropriate departments of problems and material shortages; order supplies when necessary; report damaged packaging materials.
Should have a high school education or equivalent, a successful work history, the ability to work as a team player, and proven mechanical ability.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using percentages and decimals.
Must be able to utilize the metric system and interpret a scale for weighing materials for shipping.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
Must have a basic understanding of computers, knowing how to retrieve and enter data on a database and navigate the internet for safety training and email correspondence.
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job in a safe and efficient manner.
Work is performed in temperatures ranging from negative 70 degrees (-70) to one-hundred (100) degrees Fahrenheit. Conditions may be humid and dusty.
Operator must use personal protective equipment as determined by the environmental hygiene assessment survey.
SCOPE OF POSITION
This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and has no direct supervisory responsibility.
The incumbent must work independently, relying on oral and written instructions.
Management reserves the right to add or change the duties of this position at any time.
