Summary:

Facebook is looking for an experienced Policy Visits Manager to join its Global Policy Campaigns and Programs team, which works on a range of strategic technology policy issues including governance models for the internet, the digital economy and digital inclusion. The team's mission is to drive a step change in the tech policy advocacy approach at Facebook to make it more global, more consultative and more impactful.

The Policy Visits team is responsible for leading visits by high-level and priority policy stakeholders – including heads of state - to our Menlo Park headquarters and other global offices and building meaningful connections with them in order to further the global policy team’s policy priorities. This position reports into the Policy Visits Lead.

In this role, you will be a key contributor in developing and driving a better informed and more thoughtful discussion on tech policies across the globe. The ideal candidate will bring to the table experience in hosting high level international leaders at an international institution, for a government body or a large corporation. In this capacity, the person will report to the Head of Policy Visits to help manage the visits of elected and appointed government officials and policy influencers to our Menlo Park office.

We are looking for candidates with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving, and high-priority projects simultaneously. This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.

Required Skills:

  1. Support Head of Policy Visits to coordinate and execute visits of elected and appointed government officials and policy makers to our Menlo Park campus

  2. Manage logistics for each policy visit, including: arranging rooms, catering, tours, branded items, AV, IT, calendar invites, and event tickets as needed

  3. Work closely with the support teams, from Security to Facilities and Catering, to coordinate and provide the highest level of service to the program

  4. Work closely with our policy colleagues and the admin team to ensure participation of relevant representatives across the company

  5. Serve as a spokesperson for Facebook during visits when required – sharing with external visitors our mission, vision and company culture

  6. Work collaboratively with a cross-functional, global team to ensure we are executing on our goal to build and maintain relationships with key influencers

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in schedule management, logistics coordination, event planning and program management

  2. Organizational experience

  3. Knowledge in global policy issues, politics and government

  4. Experience prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously

  5. Experience interacting with all levels across both internal and external stakeholders

  6. Communication and collaboration experience

  7. Project management experience, including experience with similar software to coordinate and track visits

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  2. International experience

  3. Bi-lingual
