CHG Healthcare Creative Director in Midvale, Utah

This creative director will lead an in-house team of copywriters and art directors, as well as outsourced creatives (photographers, illustrators, freelancers, etc.) and other vendors to support the marketing objectives of CHG Healthcare and its brands. S/he has three primary responsibilities: 1) Work with the creative and communications group to oversee and improve the quality of ideas and executions. 2) Enhance the culture and engagement of the group; 3) Collaborate closely with brand directors, project managers, and other leaders across the marketing department to review messaging, help develop schedules and ensure creative work is effective.

  • Direct a creative team. This includes conducting quarterly feedback and development reviews, providing skill-building opportunities, defining career paths, making leadership recommendations, and determining workloads

  • Conduct internal reviews of creative work. Provide specific direction and coaching to writers, art directors, designers (including UX/UI), photographers, videographers, etc.

  • Present creative work to stakeholders and address feedback

  • Ensure work is delivered on time and meets the marketing goals and creative standards of the team

  • Inspire and challenge team members throughout the marketing department and combat complacency

  • Periodically meet with marketing and other leaders to learn more about the business, services, background, and healthcare industry trends

  • Review advertising and technology trends, customer surveys, competitor materials, and other research to help formulate strategies for marketing the services of CHG businesses

  • Reports to group creative director

  • Expertise in building teams, collaborating with both creatives and non-creatives, and maintaining an open, inclusive attitude in all interactions

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to helping the team deliver the highest caliber, most effective creative concepts and executions

  • A comprehensive understanding of brand positioning and identity, interactive and social media, print and display advertising, lead generation, and direct-response marketing

  • A mastery of bringing strategies to life through insightful, original, and compelling ideas

  • Excellent presentation skills, with and preferably without PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • The ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines

Experience, Education, and Prerequisites

  • 8 -10 years in a creative team environment with 5+ years as an ACD or CD in an agency or in-house group

  • BA/BS degree in communication, advertising/marketing, or a related field

  • Portfolio demonstrating talent and relevant experience
