The Security Technician is responsible for performing skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of access control, closed circuit television (CCTV) and security systems hardware and software. Additionally, installing, maintaining, repairing and testing data cable and wiring and other security systems related hardware. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the SW FL vehicle inventory and compliance.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities
Maintain detailed daily communication with coordinators, supervisors, and staff in the field.
Responsible for all inventories on vehicle. Keeping track on low counts of material, and knowing when to replenish equipment.
Maintaining a clean and well organized vehicle, as vehicles are subject to random inspections.
Check schedule and emails for any and all updated changes to/add-ons, as schedules are subject to change.
Attend monthly team meetings and any scheduled training.
Responsible for the completion of all installations and service, including all paperwork, and the diligence of turning the paperwork in on a daily basis.
Fire Alarm Systems Agent (FASA)/Burglar Alarm Systems Agent (BASA) certified.
Must have at least 1 year experience in installation of security systems, camera and low voltage systems.
Must have own basic hand tools/drills/OHM meter.
Exceptional customer service and trouble shooting skills.
Strong internal and external customer service-oriented demeanor.
Ability to handle high-volume transaction environment with attention to detail.
Positive and productive internal and external customer service and communication skills.
Flexible, able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands: Lifting of 50 pounds and occasional attic work
