JPMorgan Chase Investor Services Asset Manager Sales - Associate in New York, New York
The Investor Services’ Asset Manager Sales team works with the top Asset Managers, many of them large global institutions, to provide new and protect existing, Investor Services product & service solutions that help clients with their strategic objectives. We work closely with our partners in Markets, Investor Client Management and Global Corporate Banking – providing holistic client coverage that our key competitors can’t replicate.
For this role within the Investor Services Asset Manager Sales organization, you will work closely with senior sales coverage to help grow new business and maintain existing business with one of Investor Services’ largest global asset manager clients. You will have lead responsibility for building relationships and understanding the client’s private equity business & high net worth business, as well as working with senior sales coverage to cover the other parts of the client’s business.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop an in-depth understanding of client (current needs and future strategy, decision makers, key contacts) and identify how Investor Services can provide them with solutions
Gain and maintain solid understanding of IS products and acquire strong knowledge of platform
Build relationships with key client contacts: be able to have commercial discussions with decision makers, help maximize revenue with existing clients, and resolve issues
o Meet or exceed sales targets and defend existing client revenue
o Grow business by gaining additional or incremental products & services
Defend / Save business - minimize impact of lost / repriced business
Analyze & understand clients’ financials & revenue drivers. Explain variances on a monthly basis and report trends to global Relationship Management team and segment head
Interact directly with clients to address requests and inquiries, coordinate and participate in client meetings bringing in firm-wide subject matter experts as needed, and lead/drive discussions when appropriate.
Work with implementations, product, risk, kyc, credit, new business approval forum,to acquire approval on incremental or new business; own kyc process; work with legal for reviews of ACA’s and other agreements associated with existing or new business.
Work closely with client service, product, and relationship colleagues to recommend and promote client solutions while working within established risk parameters
Create and/or execute marketing materials, update RFPs and presentations for clients or internal use as needed. Ensure all materials meet brand and marketing standards
Keep up with client & industry news & research and report key items to global relationship team
Strategic planning (e.g. relationship plans) and administrative tasks (e.g. internal reporting, approval requests)
Master all sales, pipeline and analytical tools
Ensure all deals and significant client calls are up to date in internal pipeline system (decision dates, revenue, close dates, etc). Adhere to new business approval procedures.
Drive and/or support ad hoc projects for clients and internal partners
Maintain constructive engagement with control functions, knowing your risk parameters, guidelines and responsibilities, proactive engagement with management on noteworthy risk events; escalation and resolution of potential control issues.
Understand KYC process and adhere to all KYC requirements & responsibilities
Strong quantitative skills as well as proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint , Word
Self-starter, resourceful, intellectually curious, proactive, excellent work ethic
Solid understanding of financial markets and knowledge of the financial industry, regulation and credit risk.
8 + years Custody & Fund Services experience, preferably with Asset Managers in a client or product management function. Prime Services experience a plus.

Superior partnership skills, and ability to work with teams across functions and regions
Ability to successfully project manage internal and client initiatives, track and ensure execution upon follow ups
Attention to detail, effective time management and multi-tasking ability required
Ability to help identify innovative solutions to best serve customers and manage risk
Current FINRA License (7/63) or ability to obtain within a reasonable time.
Some travel required.
