The directive of the Automation Practices group is to develop and maintain an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform for the global IT FIS organization. Individuals in this role will develop IT automation and orchestration in collaboration with various technology infrastructure teams. The Infrastructure Automation Developer will leverage knowledge and expertise in network architecture, infrastructure security, compute, and storage technology to develop software solutions for complete IT lifecycle management. This would include device management, capacity management, orchestration, auditing, monitoring, and decommission of IT infrastructure components. Key Responsibilities Collaborate on development of an IaaS platform for global FIS technology environments. Adhere to standard software development methodologies and practices promoting modularized, reusable, tested, and rapidly deployed code. Provide input into the selection of client-side and server-side development frameworks and programming languages. Design, implement and maintain a multi-tiered application consisting of client-side, server-side, service engine, and database components. Work effectively with team members to develop and integrate components of an IaaS platform utilizing a formal build and feature release cycle. Leverage COTS software as much as practical to implement network automation functions. Contribute to creation and maintenance of software documentation related to the IaaS platform including architecture design, code documentation, and end user documentation. Continually meet with FIS IT groups to gather IaaS platform requirements, feature requests, and product feedback. Execute expert level debugging of IaaS component code as needed to ensure a stable and functional product release. Provide occasional user training on IaaS product usage.
