Job Summary

The Coordinator of Pulmonary Rehabilitation oversees the daily operation of the Pulmonary Rehab department. Provides instruction, resource and training to department staff, patients and other ancillary staff as needed. Determines appropriateness of therapy, changing method of treatment to achieve therapeutic goals with documentation of all procedures.

Qualifications - Minimum


Must be a graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program and have completed the requirements as approved by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board, maintaining an active license to practice respiratory care in the state of Ohio. Must be registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.

BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

Smoking Cessation and Asthma credentialing preferred.

Must have the ability to write grants.

Knowledge of office computer software required.

Must have knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology as related to Respiratory Therapy.

Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, staff members and other health care professionals.

Knowledgeable about Medicare and insurance regulations that provide for correct billing procedures.
