Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Education Technology and Innovation (ETI), School of Nursing is seeking an Audio Visual Specialist who will act as the primary support person for all Audio Visual requests within the School of Nursing.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following: - Delivering, setting up, retrieving, and troubleshooting all Audio/Video equipment across the school - Technology support for faculty in course capture, electronic media, and course management systems - Acting as back-up to the IT Coordinator as it pertains to recording studio duties - Facilitating presentation-ready poster preparation - Maintaining and updating the School’s displays and messaging system, which includes a compilation of School-wide information for position both in paper and electronic display, as well as executing display formats - Providing back-up for Media Producer and print collection - Assisting with ETI projects, as needed - Other duties, as assigned

The position will have flexible days and hours, including weekday evenings and Saturday daytime hours.

NOTE: The hiring range is for full-time positions and will be prorated based on 50% effort.

Education Required Baccalaureate

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 1-2 years experience

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Experience in related field may be substituted for degree requirement.

Thorough knowledge of techniques, materials and equipment used in instructional technology, and excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Considerable experience with working with professionals is required.

Required Licenses/Certifications

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Background Check For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check.
