Endoscopy procedure disposables include single-use valves and irrigation tubing. Medical device reprocessing systems, disinfectants, detergents and other supplies are used to disinfect high-level endoscopes. This segment is operated through MEDIVATORS.
Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.
Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.
Manages and directs the cost accounting functions for the site. Areas of operations reporting responsibility include: manufacturing, materials managements, purchasing, quality, service depots, field service, engineering, facilities and distribution. This position is also responsible for plant business analyses, preparation of budgets and forecasts while playing a key role in providing business analysis support and performing due diligence on potential acquisitions.
Manages and directs Cost Accounting function
Provide supervision and guidance to the Cost Accountant function. Supervise preparation of monthly corporate financial information required to prepare financial statements.
Preparation of Minnesota monthly cost review report. Provide support to Sr Mgr Finance Operations with appropriate financial support and explanations when preparing Cantel Financial statements.
Work closely with other departmental groups on solving problems and making recommendations involving accounting systems and financial planning.
Support tax functions performed at Cantel. Calculate and provide cost information required for the year end return.
Maintain the integrity of the Cost Accounting system in SAP.
Partner with the Site Operations Leadership Team to drive improvement.
Guide the team in setting up measurements that are actionable.
Ensure that meaningful improvements are being made which result in improvements to gross margin and profits.
Keep the team focused on the vital few/most important projects, which result in real savings and improve the gross profit and net income.
Be the financial coach to the Operations Leaders and help them to better understand financial concepts and measurements. Help them make good financially driven decisions.
Coordinates and directs preparation of the cost of sales budget and forecasts
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the cost of sales budget. Work closely with Operations Management to assure the timely and accurate completion of the sales forecast.
Develop all manufacturing and support expense budgets and complete detailed prior year comparisons and explanations of variances.
Work with departments heads to develop new standards each year. Explain variances and communicate results to senior management.
Prepares financial reporting and analysis as required
Support senior management in the preparation of any required cost information utilized in the analysis of various business ventures.
Prepare and review the plant related 10K/Q SEC reports and other regulatory agency filings in conjunction with finance management.
Maintain all required internal control documentation required under section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxely Act and ensure the Plymouth site is in compliance.
Responsible for ongoing performance management, annual performance reviews, coaching, training and staff development.
Develops and implements succession management plan for department and career growth plans for all direct reports.
Ensure accuracy and perform impairment review of plant fixed assets
Complete Minnesota governmental surveys
Review plant contracts for accounting obligations and disclosures
Train entire team on finance policies and procedures
Support long term facilities planning and expansion efforts
Coordinate plant efforts to implement corporate compliance programs
Audit the inventory cycle count process and procedures on a monthly basis to ensure the inventory counts are being done accurately and that the documented procedures are being followed. Ensure accurate physical inventory balances.
Analyze, document (write procedures), and recommend procedure and process improvement changes for all tasks on an ongoing basis.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required with seven years of relevant experience minimum. SAP previous experience. Must be able to interact with people at all levels within the organization (including the corporate headquarters) and have strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Must have very good organizational and analytical skills as well as an ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff. Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and practices is very important. An MBA in Accounting or finance, or CMA/CPA is desirable.
