Manages a team that engages in business development strategies and programs in support of Oracle's Sales Organization.
Manages, through lower level managers and directors, a team of business development consultants. Team is responsible for developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment or channel. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. With guidance from the vice president, oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity and identification of customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Business management experience, and Marketing/Business Development experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 7 - 10 years previous people management experience. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desirable. Working knowledge of business development job. Thorough understanding of Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead a team in all areas of strategic business development. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability.

Additionally, they will have superb communication and project management skills, communicate progress and results both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background working with technology partnerships and partner programs along with strong business development, strategic alliances, and entrepreneurial skills. He/she should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and technical challenges to help build and convey compelling value propositions for Oracle customers with our partners. The candidate should also have a proven track record of influencing innovation through a partner ecosystem with a prior solution and program successes.
MBA, another advanced college degree, or equivalent work experience
10 years in program development for a global technology company, e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Salesforce, Oracle
In-depth knowledge of the cloud computing industry
Experience and success in managing large and complex global partner ecosystems with a proven understanding of the various business models
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
Clear track record of delivering programs that accelerate sales revenue and customer success.
Proven ability to partner with a wide variety of senior-level individuals including top-level business leaders and customers.
Strong business acumen, and experience with large, complex organizations during periods of rapid growth and change.
Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a high level of energy.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally to meet with customers, partners, as needed.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros).
