As part of our Government and Consumer Solutions Risk Adjustment Operations team, you will support the technical data and reporting needs for risk adjustment initiatives and submissions, as well as perform strategic analysis to provide insights for future planning and goals. BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for gathering, assessing, and providing business information needs through data and reporting. Performs analyses, development and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata, repository creation and report automation. Responsible for creating leadership reports, and designing and maintaining operational data processes from end to end. Communication skills necessary to effectively relay information to leadership, other departments, and external vendors. Uses Excel and SQL heavily, as well as data mining and data analysis tools. Reviews and validates data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy; conducts data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling. Generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database queries and scripts. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Performs analysis on operational activities and provides statistical and graphical reporting to assist in business decision making. Position requires a hybrid knowledge base of business and technical skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Bachelor Degree and 4 years experience with data analysis and manipulation OR 6 years experience with data analysis and manipulation to include experience in leading and management of project tasks. *5 years experience in SQL or other BASIC programming language. *6 years of data analysis and information reporting experience, including 3 years obtaining an understanding of information repository issues and concepts. *Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences both in written and verbal form. *Experience in development implementations, data modeling, or data mapping efforts. *Experience creating clear and concise project documentation. *Knowledge of relational database concepts, and the creation of queries and reports using SQL. *Understanding of data elements as they relate to data quality requirements. *Strong analytical, conceptual and root cause analysis skills. *Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals. *Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal, written and communication skills. *Experience using statistical concepts with an ability to apply to informatic reporting. *Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. *Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. *Takes initiative to solve complex problems; takes an outside-in perspective to identify innovative solutions. *Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. *May lead functional teams or projects or decisions to support this awareness; knows how to use the formal and informal systems to get things done.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: *5+ years using Teradata SQL *Excellent VBA scripting, Excel, and process automation skills *Experience working with different business processes such as claims/encounters, membership, etc. *Understanding of Risk Adjustment concepts *Experience working with Medicare and Retail data *Experience in health care data analytics, profiling, and reporting *Experience with statistics and data analysis *Experience working with external vendors; knowledge of data exchange such as SFTP, etc. *Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field *Ability to articulate depth and breadth of expertise in the following: analytical thinking, communication for results, conceptual thinking, information seeking, initiative, openness to learning, results orientation, teamwork, thoroughness
