EDF Climate Corps (www.edfclimatecorps.org) is a network of professionals united to advance climate solutions. This network is grounded in an innovative summer fellowship program which embeds trained graduate students in companies, cities and universities to accelerate and advance climate and energy goals. Since the program's launch in 2008, EDF Climate Corps fellows have uncovered over $1.6 billion dollars in energy savings for participating organizations. With a network of over 1,700 professionals, EDF Climate Corps seeks to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon energy system by inspiring and empowering leaders.
The Fellow Recruitment Project Manager plays a critical role in the success of EDF Climate Corps by developing and executing its fellow recruitment, selection and matching strategy and by managing key relationships with universities, consultants and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Fellow Recruitment Project Manager will directly engage with organizations by managing a portfolio of host relationships as well as participating in key programmatic processes.
Lead EDF Climate Corps' annual fellow recruitment process.
Establish fellow recruitment strategy, goals and targets with input from supervisor and other key stakeholders, including coordination with EDF's Diversity Initiative;
Create and manage the fellow recruitment timeline and budget, and design a process for tracking, monitoring and reporting results;
Attract highly qualified candidates to the program by organizing and presenting at campus visits, webinars, attending conferences and other methods.
Develop and maintain relationships with university career services offices and other student and professional organizations.
Assess the EDF Climate Corp fellow application, coordinate with EDF IT to ensure a positive application experience, and make changes as necessary, including maintaining best practices for international fellow hiring requirements and other hiring considerations.
Work with EDF's marketing and communications team to promote EDF Climate Corps to graduate students, including supporting media outreach, reviewing marketing materials, and updating content on the edfclimatecorps.org website.
Lead EDF Climate Corps' fellow selection and matching process to host organizations.
Develop and execute a fellow matching timeline and strategy, including results and data tracking and an after-action review.
Develop contract and oversee consultants in carrying out all functions related to the fellow selection and matching process, including screening applications, conducting interviews, developing candidate communication materials, and meeting interview goals and offer targets.
In coordination with key staff and consultants, develop fellow candidate assessment criteria including defining host project needs and desired fellow skillsets.
Lead selection process to place fellows with host organizations and collaborate with team members to ensure timely host approval of fellow matches.
Act as point person with EDF IT on EDF Climate Corps' CRM platform Salesforce.com, to ensure effective tracking and reporting of candidates' qualifications, application status, matching preferences, offers and declines, and other data, and coordinate on updates to the fellow portal.
In coordination with Human Resources and the Program Associate, oversee EDF paid fellow process.
Oversee 10+ relationships with EDF Climate Corps host organizations, assist in developing scope of work for these engagements, oversee summer fellowships and ensure successful completion of fellowship deliverables.
We are seeking an experienced project manager with a professional background in the business, human resources and/or environmental sectors. Other qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience (or master's degree and 2+ years of experience) in the corporate or non-profit sectors, including demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and partnerships to achieve program goals;
Experience with outreach and partnership development;
Working knowledge of corporate sustainability, energy efficiency, and the business implications of environmental issues;
Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfort with public speaking, and the ability to work with colleagues and partners of varied backgrounds and experience;
Exceptional personal organization and attention to detail;
Strong project management skills including demonstrated ability to use independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload;
An ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment;
Willingness to travel (20-35% of the time, concentrated in the late summer to fall); and
Proficiency in the use of PCs, Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint), database programs, and Salesforce.
