Sutter Health Pathology Lab Assistant II-Clinical Laboratory-Per Diem in San Francisco, California
Under general supervision, the Pathology Laboratory Assistant II provides assistance the licensed and certified personnel and support to the attending pathologist(s) in their practice of pathology. This includes performing patient registration and accessioning, processing and staining of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and send out testing and all other support tasks while maintaining a safe, productive, high quality and effective operation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
High School diploma required.
Some college courses in biological or chemical science preferred.
- Special training and 1 year experience working with pathologists performing surgical tissue dissection and post-mortem examinations or equivalent.
Individual should possess good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize work effectively, proficient in computer and use of multiple interfaced systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and use good judgment.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills; multitask and team work is expected
