What You’ll Own
As our products increase in number and complexity, you will be responsible for supporting the Cisco/Meraki PDME (Product Design Mechanical Engineering) team with NPI (New Product Introduction) implementation of quality requirements & process assessments.
Emphasis will be on IQC, IPQC, & OQC planning for manufacturing of custom parts. You’ll work onsite with suppliers to bring-up new processes. Tackle the responsibility for analysing process inputs/outputs to assure parts meet all specifications & expectations.
3 years in Supplier Quality Engineering for enterprise mechanical enclosures and/or consumer electronics (5+ years strongly preferred).
Complete understanding of quality standards & measurement systems.
Background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data assessment.
Conduct Gage R&R and correlation studies
Review Cp & Cpk data for compliance
Review & sign-off on inspection and sampling plans to assure consistent quality and the smooth flow of materials into manufacturing.
Assure that proper and agreed to quality checks are included in the manufacturing process.
Provide PDME and supplier direction or suggestions for changes in tolerances or options to meet requirements.
Document issues. Drive root cause analysis. Implement short and long term corrective actions. Follow-up and close as needed (e.g. 8D)
Audit suppliers to assure quality systems are deployed and implemented.
Assure common inspection plans & measurement methods used by supplier OQC and CM partner IQC.
3D Modeling knowledge and experience a plus. (SolidWorks / CREO)
OK to travel 25%-35% in Asia Pacific + BSME or Equivalent
Nice to Have
Experience with offshore manufacturing & Contract Manufacturers (CM).
Proficient with Google Docs, Word, Excel, & other software such as MiniTab.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes; Metal fabrication, casting, machining, injection molding, plating, & painting a plus.
