OfficeTeam is actively seeking an Administrative Assistant with property management experience for a client based in San Pablo, CA! The ideal Administrative Assistant candidate will be available to start immediately, will have previous experience with property management, and will be very comfortable using the Yardi software. The successful candidate will manage property repairs, act as the point of contact for a large volume of clients, and will obtain approval for costlier repair projects. Independent workers are invited to apply!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect property units for damage (vary from single home to apartment buildings)

  • Manage repair requests from tenants

  • Utilize Yardi to manage and track property modifications and maintenance

  • Coordinate tenants’ requests by communicating with vendors

  • Obtain approval from management for costly repairs

  • Maintain client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum two (2) or more years prior housing property management experience as a Property Manager, especially in tax credit or other subsidized housing program

Excellent administrative, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and deal with them in an effective manner

Basic bookkeeping knowledge

Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel

Skills in problem solving with staff and residents

Ability to interact with a wide variety of people – personnel, residents, local agencies, contractors and owner

Ability to take initiative and think independently

Two or more years prior supervisory experience

Experience certifying resident incomes to meet Section 8 and TCAC regulations

Knowledge of low income housing tax credit regulations

Background related to resident population of building complex (i.e., handicapped, elderly, homeless) preferred

Bilingual, Spanish-Speaking, preferred

Real Estate Sales License

YARDI Software knowledge a plus

Certifications or Licenses:

California driver’s license desirable

Certified Tax Credit Specialist or attainment of within six (6) months of full-time
