Are you an experienced and versatile Program Manager looking to have a global influence at Amazon? The Portfolio Management team in HR Services Solutions needs a strategic Program Manager to drive cross platform initiatives focused on delivering solutions for Amazon HR globally. As a Senior Program Manager, you have the chance to own and drive the vision for the new portfolio management product, and lead initiatives that span across HRSS product lines. As a Sr. Program Manager you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The person will manage the implementation of multiple projects, making sure customer goals and requirements are met in a timely fashion, with quality, also ensuring that solutions delivered are scalable, extensible, and maintainable.

The candidate should have a thorough understanding of program management best practices and agile software development methodology. They must possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills targeted at senior leadership. They must be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiation, planning, execution, and delivery of programs that span across HRSS product lines.

  • Define the vision and roadmap for HRSS portfolio management tools. Partner with HRSS and external teams to define scope, requirement and deliver the product in iterative release cycles.

  • Establish scalable enterprise-wide portfolio management tool standards for decision making and transparency.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous innovation and sustain the HRSS portfolio management tools.

  • Develop process and standards for project inspection and oversight across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

  • 7+ years of program, project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI-PMP Certification

  • Agile Certification · Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, and execute with limited information and ambiguity.

  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects with complex inter-dependencies while remaining quality-focused.

  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Experienced in working with stakeholders to manage their expectations and engaging them to address issues

  • Ability to react with appropriate urgency and composure to situations, events, changes that might require quick response or turnaround.

  • Organizationally savvy; utilizes partnerships across the organization and leverages knowledge of formal and informal decision-making processes to accomplish work objectives

  • Collaborative, yet influential; a strong negotiator who speaks with conviction while also willing to flex and compromise in order to create the best solution for customers and business needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
