Amazon Web Services Principal Campaign Manager in Seattle, Washington

Are you interested in developing the vision for a new role within an innovative team critical to Amazon's future growth?

We are seeking a talented, customer-focused Campaign Manager to join our strategic recruiting organization. This person will partner with Amazon teams globally to build and implement strategies for attracting specialized executive talent to Amazon.

This Program Manager will oversee the execution of an annual calendar of strategic market intelligence research and recruitment campaigns from start to finish, ensuring that each campaign is delivered within the allotted timeline. This could include initiatives such as a global referral effort and targeted campaigns to reach senior prospects at pivotal points in the candidate lifecycle.

This person will develop strategies, manage project plans and scoping, define objectives, detail key milestones, and manage all workflows involved in executing these campaigns. They will ensure resource availability and allocation; understanding when it is appropriate to leverage Analysts and setting clear expectations for Recruiters to engage candidates surfaced through each campaign. They will measure campaign performance and maintain comprehensive project documentation. They will be responsible for building mechanisms to help the market intelligence team automate and scale workflows. They will also lead a variety of other market intelligence initiatives that are critical to the business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead specialized research and recruitment campaigns/initiatives

  • Manage expectations by articulating in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process

  • Partner with Recruiters and Analysts to build effective passive candidate sourcing and cultivation approaches

  • Contribute to a global talent mapping strategy and direction

  • Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner and deliver results in a fast paced environment

  • Maintain scrutiny upon marketplace trends and competitive opportunities

  • Proactively network and establish effective working relationships

  • Invent creative approaches to uncovering and cultivating top talent

  • Independently follow through on assignments with minimal direction; take action when answers to a problem are not readily apparent

The Strategic Recruiting Team (SRT) focuses on building top specialized talent communities in Design and Applied Research, including Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision, Speech Recognition/Natural Language Processing, Optimization, Economics, Sustainability, Hardware, Data Science and Robotics globally at Amazon. We build teams in emerging fields and recruit senior Design and Science leaders. As a core talent function, we also develop Amazon's presence at key gatherings, drive academic relations and facilitate internal community efforts. Our efforts support Amazon's development of new businesses, such as Alexa and Amazon Go while ensuring state-of-the-art research and design are at the forefront of Amazon's more mature organizations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing, program management, or strategy consulting experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting

  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and client relationships

  • MS Office proficiency - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with recruiting and people-related tools, CRM systems, and complex datasets

  • Experience recruiting passive executive candidates

  • Passionate about recruiting diverse candidates

  • Knowledge of the machine learning R&D community including news, conferences, journals, blogs, etc.

  • Knowledge of the UX design and research community
