Digital Commerce processes billions of transactions for digital purchases every year, and we are on a mission to be the earth's best provider of one-time and recurring commerce, and post-purchase experience. With more new businesses being launched at Amazon with growing new features and business models, we are re-imagining and re-building commerce software architecture to make business innovation faster, easier and error-free. We are recruiting a Principal Product Manager - Technical to lead this charge. This is a highly visible role with the ability to meaningfully influence how commerce will take place for digital purchases and memberships for years to come. You will be diving deep into the technology product design from the perspectives of both the end-customer CX, as well as the Amazon developer community that will leverage your software products (such as APIs) to take customer value propositions (such as Amazon Prime) to market. This role requires the ability to work autonomously and deliver results, to think big, a mindset to innovate and to simplify. You should be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving. Clear communication and prioritization will be important as you plan, design, and deliver the best experience for millions of customers. Responsibilities Be the overall technical product owner for Digital Commerce. Inform software architecture design with customer- and developer-backwards data and user-stories, and competitor benchmarking. Set the CX-bar and the DevX-bar for Digital Commerce technology products. Drive technology innovation for Digital Commerce. Document and evangelize the technical vision and strategy for Commerce products as they evolve Engage internal business and technology partners, and build mechanisms to listen to the voice of the end-customer to understand their needs. Write clear and concise customer-backwards documents and communicate them to the business, design and development teams Create and maintain a structure for the large catalog of user stories supported by Digital Commerce. These include purchasing of digital content, memberships and services, as well as the post-purchase experience of managing the purchases (e.g. refunds, membership cancellation, etc.). Partner with other Digital Commerce Product Managers to develop a long-term product roadmap and strategy. Evangelize for the adoption of Digital Commerce products across content and service teams Actively manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience, time to market and product delivery experience.
