Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) seeks a bright, self-motivated, and results-oriented program manager to join our expanding Program Management Office and Excellence program – ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System). Amazon is growing rapidly, and we support the teams who make payments, receive revenue, and pay employees - for all of Amazon!

The right candidate comes with a strong program management or related background. They will be a quick learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and ever-changing work environment, and has strong prioritization abilities to complete a high volume of complex tasks with minimal supervision. They will also be a detail-oriented planner with the demonstrated ability to communicate and respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and great composure under pressure. they anticipate problems, productively escalate issues, anticipate and make trade-off decisions to allow our business to expand quickly and flawlessly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Develop an in-depth understanding of Amazon’s products, business models, payment architecture, and financial operations

  • Support critical relationships with internal and external business partners

  • Deliver moderately complex small to large scale projects from initiation through delivery

  • Streamline project delivery across FinOps by standardizing project communications, execution and documentation, ensuring consistent, scalable global processes

  • Gather requirements from appropriate business owners, write clear and detailed functional specifications, prioritizes features and drives technical scoping as needed.

  • Assess and define customer value or impact and criteria for measuring project success

  • Drive continuous process improvement by collaborating with stakeholders to design new solutions that enhance business performance and achieve established goals, including automation

  • Deliver projects consistently and efficiently, leveraging global standards, processes and programs

  • Identify and evaluate potential risks with minimal direction, and determine appropriate corrective action to keep projects on track

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Program management, process improvement and/or finance

  • Demonstrated success as a program manager, prioritizes clear communication, documentation, and action

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience working in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or payroll.

  • Advanced working knowledge of wikis, MS Project, Oracle

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Engenders trust and respect in all working relationships

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Experience working in a high-speed environment

  • Experience delivering programs with global teams
