Amazon Web Services Quality Assurance Engineer in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for a QAE to join our “Ownership Experience" team driving a completely new type of journey on Amazon.com. We will look at a wide variety of datasets such as contextual purchase behavior, personalization, usage, customer reviews, catalog, etc, and ensure that customers maximize the value of their products beyond the point of purchase. Amazon has incredible selection, convenience, and value, but customers don’t shop for a TV or a laptop the same way they shop for a new phone case or a book; And most of the time when you return to Amazon today, it’s like starting the conversation over again. You will help define a broad experience across the site, and collaborate with other teams to deliver on a larger vision. Further, you will evolve the datasets and ML infrastructure to continue to drive leverage, and re-use across the broader C3tech organization spanning 10+ teams focused on a number of $1B+ retail programs and opportunities.
More About the role:
We need a talented, detail oriented and enthusiastic QAE who is passionate about accelerating end to end delivery of innovative shopping experiences for Amazon.com customers driven by data and Machine Learning. QAE's work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our QAE will be able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Perl/Java scripts and/or user-level automated tools. The QAE will also work with Product Management to understand customer usage and develop test plans that approximate real-world environments and build regression tests to drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
Five or more years of QA experience
2+ years of experience testing on Websites/Apps on Mobile devices
Ability to translate use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases
Experience developing in at least one of Java, C++, Python, C#, Ruby
Ability to write code to package tests into regression test suites
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
Effectively communicate cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results
Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies
Capable of digging into the business needs and translating them into QA plans and processes
Experience in designing the automation framework for Web/ Devices
