Amazon Web Services Senior Product Manager - New NoSQL Initiatives in Seattle, Washington
This position within Database Services team represents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newly formed team.
Amazon's NoSQL services such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Timestream, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, and Neptune are massive at-scale services that are powering some of the top companies in the world. Responsibilities as a Senior Product Manager will include use case prioritization, feature definition, ownership of the product roadmap, and customer segmentation.Successful employees in this role have prior product management experience. They are very delivery-focused, with a track record of shipping innovative, customer-centric, and successful products. This position has a high level of visibility, and you will need to be a strong leader, able to communicate clearly and compellingly at all levels of the company. Most important is your attitude and work ethic: as a start-up, we will wear many hats, work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly. We are looking for someone who is ready to roll-up their sleeves and get going quickly. Knowledge of databases and analytics industry is a strong plus.
BS in Computer Science or a related engineering field
2+ years of software product management experience
Have experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast.
Have the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
Be a strong leader who can prioritize well, and who understands how to drive focus and excellence within a strong, talented, opinionated team
Have a strong track record of achieving the balance between innovation and strong customer and quality focus
Passion for great customer experience and API usability
Knowledge of database concepts and industry trends
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
An MBA and/or a degree in Computer Science (or the equivalent), or professional work experience as a software engineer is a huge plus
