As a Software Development Engineering Manager, you will be challenged with wearing multiple hats to help buildthe web-based management console for the next generation of Cisco Collaboration Cloud services. Your team will consist of Web UI developers and backend Java developers, working closely with UX designers and product managers to deliver excellent experiences to our customers. Your primary role is to help your team reach its maximum potential through mentorship, staying engaged with our current projects, participating in design and technical decisions, and helping the team overcome any challenges that we encounter.
This position is located in Seattle, WA.
Who You Are:
Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience
Proven track record of building and deploying large-scale web UI systems
Experience working with small teams in an agile development environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to put the needs of the team first, with a focus on team performance and development
Required Leadership Competencies
Disrupt: Promotes innovation and change in order to improve the technology, operations, and processes needed to execute on the strategy.
In addition, the preferred candidate will have some of the following:
3-5 years of software development management experience
Solid experience using REST APIs
Good working knowledge of cloud security and web security
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
A proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments
