Amazon Web Services Technical Program Manager in Seattle, Washington
Are you excited about building products, scalable solutions, and cloud computing? Do you have the technical background and business savvy to help further establish Amazon as the leader in the cloud computing space? Come be at the forefront of the cloud computing movement and be a part of changing the way the world implements IT.
As a Business Development Technical Program Manager within AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broaden use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform. We are looking for someone who will drive the new Business Value technical strategy that improves the overall effectiveness of teams across sales, solution architects, business development, ProServe, and Partners. This includes understanding the needs for benchmarking data and tooling for pre-sales support across multiple user groups. You will determine the critical technical requirements for both tooling improvements and new sets of data and analysis to bring into and build within the tool(s). You will also work closely with a Product Manager and the Cloud Economics team to build the benchmark logic engine that will surface on a web portal.
The ideal candidate will have an established track record of delivering quality software solutions, deep technical ability, excellent project management skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will own technical solutions that integrate with existing AWS tools and services that enable some of AWS’ most important goals. To achieve these goals, he/she will wear many different hats, including product manager, system architect, and software developer. We are looking for a hands-on engineer and a technical leader that’s interested in building software products and services for our internal AWS teams and external AWS partners (Resellers, Systems Integrators and Consultants).
The candidate will play a key role in building internal software products from the ground up. Therefore, the candidate will need to be able to coordinate a team of data engineers, software developers, partner development managers, Solution Architects and product managers to achieve a common goal. He/she will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with a wide-range of stakeholders to interpret business requirements into detailed technical designs and an overall technical product strategy. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.
