Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:Review all inpatient accounts; to gather and verify information related to the determination of third party/insurance information; obtain patient as appropriate through patient interview process; to be a liaison between the revenue cycle process, patient, discharge planning support services; to obtain information related to enrollment of medical assistance plans, and process plans for insurance coverage. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School diploma, equivalent GEDExperience: Two (2) years customer service experience working with computers. Prefer experience in a healthcare setting.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of office procedures, practices and equipment.

Knowledge of computers, preferably Microsoft Windows. Ability to communicate with a wide variety of customers in a respectful manner. Ability to respond positively and efficiently to telephone calls under stressful situations. Ability to understand written and oral instructions. Ability to speak clearly and correctly. Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to type. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to be attentive to detail. Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for the duration of the day. Ability to obtain MNsure certification.


Additional Information:

This position is per diem and will work at least 2 shifts per week and pick up occassional weekends as needed.
