The Operations & Technology organization (O&T) provides the foundation that enables Citi to achieve its day-to-day operational and long term goals.

Within the O&T organization, the O&T Risk and Control (OTRC) team protects Citi from risks that might arise from the execution of O&T’s day-to-day responsibilities. The OTRC organization has delivered on a multi-year effort to define the overall risk profile for O&T by driving key risk programs and managing operational risk exposures. More specifically, OTRC:

  • Provides global oversight of O&T’s risk management responsibilities & risk domains, and supports the identification, prioritization, management and reporting of O&T material risks

  • Advances the risk management capabilities of O&T by designing / deploying common risk frameworks and standardized risk management practices across the enterprise

  • Enables well informed and timely decision making by O&T senior leadership and other key stakeholders by providing clear visibility into O&T’s risk profile through metrics, analytics, dashboards and reporting

  • Develops targeted training and awareness programs to enable sustainability of the risk management function over the long term and promote a proactive risk management culture

OTRC seeks to hire a Global Program Manager with exemplary communication and negotiation skills who can function successfully in a fast paced, demanding environment and successfully manage multiple work efforts to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate people. Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Act as Program Manager for complex programs and continuously ensure their alignment to transformation goals

  • Build strong relationships with program sponsors

  • Be responsible for defining and ensuring appropriate governance, methodology, and best practices for program management, while ensuring compliance with Citi standards and policies for program management

  • Work with project managers to develop and manage program plan; ensure all deliverables are produced on time, and with the necessary level of quality

  • Provide a global view of the deliverable, and drive global alignment

  • Manage issues, risks, scope, schedule, and communications, including carrying out risk management, mitigation planning, and workshops

  • Manage capacity and program alignment cooperatively across the portfolio

  • Communicate to all stakeholders (including Senior Management) on a timely basis in a clear way

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholders (often including Senior Management)

  • Employ program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery; leverage these across the O&T organization

  • Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly operating reports

  • Guarantee compliance with all application tools used for program and project management

  • In partnership with the OTRC managers, make certain that the collective activities of OTRC support the goal of reaching Citi's targets

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in successfully managing complex projects and programs which include external suppliers through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead program work on a global large scale level.

  • Experience in managing technology efforts through the complete solution delivery life cycle (SDLC), and familiarity with SDLC best-practices

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills which can be leveraged to consistently succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in genuine Program management during which s/he applied a structured approach (methodology) to the successful management, tracking, planning, monitoring and reporting of concurrent, multiple financial services projects spanning broad geographies and organizations.

  • Experience with enterprise program management tools

  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills

  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management

  • Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Technical proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint

  • Experience in any of the following fields a plus: Financial Services Technology, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Regulatory and Compliance, Design and Construction, Consulting/Re-engineering/Process Optimization, Data Privacy Regulations

  • PMP a plus

  • Familiarity with Lean and Agile methodologies a plus
