Job Description

PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

As a part of Finance, procurement is a centralized team responsible for the purchasing of capital, expensed equipment and services for the Firm. This team oversees vendor relationships with suppliers; reviews outsourcing arrangements; leads supplier diversity initiative; and works as a strategic advisor for other service arrangements (e.g., off-shoring, staff augmentation, etc.).

The Operations, Methods & Tools team focuses on developing and managing Procurement's business systems, standard practices and compliance activities. The area provides the infrastructure through which the sourcing, contracting, transaction management and other activities are run utilizing world class programs.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree or 3 years of data mining and/or analysis experience

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrated knowledge of data mining, report analysis and process improvement methods.

Working knowledge of Procurement practices, Financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Skills Preferred:

Experience in data mining, report design, analysis and interpretation.

Prior Auditing experience.

Demonstrated ability to:

Prepare clear and concise summary reports

Develop benchmarking tools to be presented to various audiences

Lead process improvement initiatives to drive compliance with regulatory requirements

Confirm the availability of required data through proper tools and system applications, and

Design reports to meet the needs of the procurement team, leveraging the Excel, Access and other systems and data available

Interact with all US Procurement team, Global Procurement and other functional teams within the firm, as well as, offshore resources in the transition related to generating and improving meaningful, operational metrics.
