Leidos AHB Benefit and Comp Program Analyst in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

Job Description:

The NISC III program at Leidos is seeking an AHB Benefit and Comp Program Analyst to help support the FAA customer.

Duties for the position include:

  • Maintains new hire and transfer packets for bi weekly orientation sessions,

  • Conducts new employees orientation sessions;

  • Prepares and conducts initial reviews of retirement applications and other documents for completeness and accuracy;

  • Maintains and monitors Work Load Assignments in Remedy to ensure timely responses to Employees Retirement Annuity Computation Request;

  • Researches employees work history to create retirement estimates within 5 years of projected retirement date;

  • Provides counseling and offers support to employees in completing paperwork;

  • Reviews and validates employees retirement codes;

  • Reviews, analyzes, certifies, and processes benefits forms;

  • Retrieves and / or enters data in the various data systems such as eOPF, FHR, Data Mart, FPPS, Remedy, Employee Express, FAA Directory and Office of Personnel Management;

  • Coordinates and facilitates agency's annual Health Fair;

  • Assists, plans and serves as a facilitator for the "Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day";

  • Attends local Health Benefits Seminars and Information Sessions to collaborate and partner with Health Carriers;

  • Provides support to the Benefits Operation Center and FAA Headquarters Benefits Team in meeting employees needs and life events;

  • Provide support to employees in the preparation and submission of retirement applications and all related forms and requirements;

  • Ensure application packages are complete and accurate before submission to the Retirement Operations Center for preparation and submission to the Office Personnel Management (OPM);

  • Provide counseling support sessions to FAA employees who are within five years of retirement eligibility and meet with employees and explain to them the different aspects of the retirement systems, both FERS and CSRS/CSRS Offset;

  • Validate critical HR information such as service computation dates, retirement coverage code, federal service, employee entitlements under the TSP employee options under FEHB, employee options under FEGLI, employee' options regarding Social Security eligibility, and other relevant data

Additional Duties: (Work Life/Child Care)

  • Maintains monthly data to support program enrollment and capacity for all child care programs;

  • Provides technical assistance as requested to all child care programs to implement best child care practices nationwide; and

  • Serves as a support to the Child Care Program Manager as needed.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically requires a BA degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous work experience working with HR Services benefits or Benefit program analyst type functions.

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
