Xanterra Leisure Holding, LLC Housekeeping Inspector in WILLIAMS, Arizona
The Housekeeping Inspector is a full time position. Inspects assigned rooms/hotel areas for proper cleanliness and professionally direct housekeepers and public area attendants as to what items need attention, ensuring adherence to Company standards and quality guest service.
Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
Inspect daily, entire assigned section (guest rooms, linen rooms, hallways, grounds etc.) to ensure cleanliness, safety and proper condition to meet or exceed departmental and company standards.
Assigns re-work to Guest Room Attendants if there are items found to be in non-compliance with standards, communicating in a professional and courteous manner.
Perform inventory duties on room amenities, mission linens, supplies and chemicals.
Report condition and status of guest rooms to Housekeeping management and Front Desk in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintain and uphold all Company policies; assist in the development of assigned employees through training and performance enhancement.
Report to Executive Housekeeper on the performance and/or behavior of the employees assigned to the inspector.
Must be able to perform duties of Guest Room Attendant and Public Area Attendant.
Must be able to perform duties of Bell Staff and Carpet Cleaner position.
Control assigned keys, master and guest room keys, and maintain security of all guest rooms, both occupied and unoccupied.
Enforce safety regulations, precautions, and information to provide a safe working atmosphere for self and employees assigned.
Communicate effectively with Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Front Desk personnel, Bell Attendant staff, Maintenance and other departments as well as our guests.
Maintain a courteous and helpful behavior towards guests and fellow employees. Exercise tact and discretion at all times while on duty.
Participate in established programs designed to further professional growth and development.
Assume duties of a Guest Room Attendant when necessary, learning to clean rooms within the time frame of Company standards, and able to effectively carry out duties of any assigned inspector shift.
Must log in Lost & Found items, call Lost & Found guests, as well as process Lost & Found cases according to Company policy and procedure.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies when performing tasks, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to use correct telephone etiquette, communicating effectively during Lost and Found phone conversations, and/or guest conversations.
Ability to interact with a diverse range of guests and co-workers.
Ability to focus on details to adhere to quality standards expected by guests.
Must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Must display leadership ability, and the ability to assertively address proper standards and assign re-work to housekeepers, public area attendant, carpet cleaner, etc. in a professional and respectful manner.
