This HVAC Facilities Associate will work towards valuable career development and growth, as you gain hands-on experience assisting skilled maintenance personnel in the service, repair, installation, operation and modification, of equipment throughout our facilities. This position is expected to learn and eventually demonstrate technical expertise in a specified trade and become multi-skilled in other areas (e.g. pipe fitting/plumbing, electrical).

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm (during training) & 3:00pm - 11:30pm Mon-Fri (after training); must also be available for on-call as needed.

Maintenance and Customer Service Responsibilities:
Work with more experienced engineers to learn how to perform in-depth and detailed maintenance work such as installing, operating, and maintaining all equipment and components that support the facility. These include HVAC systems, building management systems, chillers, boilers, emergency generators and compressed air systems, etc.
Under direct supervision of Principal Engineer, learn how to perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment such as: assembling all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete the job.
Assist facilities department staff with other duties such as: facility projects, inspections, snow removal, minor renovations, etc.
Comply with all safety practices and procedures.
Completes and responds to maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and complete customer requests and assigned PM work orders.
1-2+ years of field or maintenance experience in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical or building systems.
High School Diploma required, continuing education preferred.
Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100lbs) 25-50% of time.
Manual dexterity Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to repeatedly bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crawl, squat ETC. for extended periods of time (25%-75% of time).
Ability to climb to heights (e.g. ladder) and maintain balance for extended periods while performing work tasks.
Ability to perform work tasks in adverse weather conditions.
May be exposed to a variety of chemicals within a controlled environment.
